Dear All
I just want to express my warmest and heartfelt thanks to you all for the surprise party you gave me on Wednesday, and for generally helping me to celebrate a milestone in age that I had hoped would never come! I was very touched, not least by the singing of "Happy Birthday" (Jane caught me unawares with that one!), and "For he's a jolly good fellow", which were of the very highest quality (perhaps because you knew the words and could look up, smile, and not bury yourselves in the score - JOKE!)
Seriously, I was very moved by it all. You are a wonderful group, and I value your friendship and of being a part of Rolleston Choral Society enormously. Thank you also for the most generous present of a gift voucher and champagne, and for the many lovely comments and sentiments on the card.
Thanks again to Sue and Lou for arranging the superb buffet, and again to Carol for that fabulous cake. I hope I haven't missed anyone out for special mention. Apologies if I have.
Thank you all again and I look forward to seeing you a week on Wednesday, raring to go to prepare for the Christmas concert!
