At Rolleston Choral Society, we are delighted to share some wonderful news and celebrate the exceptional talent of a young musician from our local community.
Earlier this year, we were proud to offer a £150 choral bursary to a sixth form student from a secondary school in Burton. The award attracted a number of high-quality applications, and after a demanding interview and audition process, we were thrilled to award the bursary to A level student Sarah.
Sarah impressed our panel with her outstanding vocal ability, as well as her accomplished piano skills, demonstrating musicianship of an exceptionally high standard for her age. Her passion, commitment, and musical maturity made her a truly deserving recipient.
The bursary will support her as she prepares for her Grade 8 singing examination and her diploma, helping her to continue her musical journey. As part of the award, we are also very much looking forward to welcoming Sarah as a soloist in our Spring Concert in March, where she will perform accompanied by the choir, an exciting opportunity and a significant milestone in her development as a performer.
We offer our warmest congratulations to Sarah and are proud to support her as she continues to flourish as a young musician. We look forward to sharing the stage with her and to seeing where her talent takes her next.
